 Scouts Conquer the Sandstone Trail
Reported in the Northwich Chronicle, Northwich Guardian and Round Tower, April 2009
Six Scouts and their leaders from 1st Cuddington and Sandiway Scout group walked the 34 miles of the Sandstone Trail from Frodsham to Whitchurch in two days. It was part of a series of practice hikes leading up to the annual Cheshire Hike Challenge for Scouts and Guides, which takes place at the start of April. They all carried their equipment needed for the walk and overnight stop near Beeston, and they completed it in just under fourteen hours of walking. The photo shows them ready to leave the Bears Paw, Frodsham, at the start of the trail.
